Thanks to its stylish design, a top-tier integrated Bluetooth device and many extra features, the Sena Cavalry helmet deserves to be on the top of our list of the highest rated Bluetooth helmets that you can buy in 2024.
Sena Cavalry Bluetooth Helmet Review
As mentioned earlier, the Sena Cavalry Bluetooth helmet has a lot of things to offer. It is a low profile half-face helmet, which means that it will only cover the top of your head. This makes the helmet very light and compact and you will feel like you are wearing a bicycle helmet instead of an actual motorcycle helmet. Such helmets are very popular among cruiser riders or city commuters. But it will go well together with almost any kind of bike.
Shell Design & Protection
The Sena Cavalry Bluetooth half helmet features an aerodynamic design with removable peak visor on the top and a Bluetooth device mounted on the side. Despite the fact that it is a half-face helmet and extremely low-profile, the Sena Cavalry is DOT certified and very safe. The material used in the shell of the helmet is called fiberglass and it ensures the helmet is very light and durable. You don’t have to worry about breaking the helmet in the case of an accident. Sena Cavalry Bluetooth half helmet weighs only about 2.3 pounds and it is one of the lightest Bluetooth motorcycle helmets on the market. It comes in multiple shell sizes and it has an intermediate oval shape.
Face Shield & Visor
Unfortunately, the Sena Cavalry Bluetooth helmet doesn’t come with any type of face shield or drop-down sun visor. There simply wasn’t any space for it. Instead of that, you can use an additional accessory that comes in the box with the helmet, a peak visor. It can be mounted directly onto the shell by using a couple of screws. The helmet not only looks cooler with the peak visor mounted, but it provides much better aerodynamics and noise cancelling properties. The microphone of the Bluetooth device is located above the eye port area of the helmet. The visor will block the incoming wind noise and make your voice sound much clearer while using the Bluetooth headset.
Comfort & Airflow
The helmet is extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear. Thanks to its low weight, you don’t have to worry about neck pain during long rides. The interior liner of the Sena Cavalry helmet is made from a premium material and it can be completely removed for washing. The helmet has a couple of chin straps on the sides that can be expanded by using a pair of inserts called ear caps. This additional removable accessory can be simply attached to the helmet and it offers an improved noise cancelling technology. The inserts will help with soundproofing of the helmet and transform it into some kind of a hybrid between a half helmet and a 3/4 open-face helmet.
Sena R10 Bluetooth System
The Sena Cavalry half helmet comes with a built in Bluetooth device that is mounted directly onto the shell and all cables are hidden inside the inner padding of the helmet. The microphone and speakers are also hidden in the padding, which means that there is absolutely no installation procedure needed with this helmet.
The device used in the helmet is called Sena R10 and it is one of the Sena’s best selling units of all times. It is both compact and reliable to use, so you will have an awesome experience using it. The Sena R10 Bluetooth headset is equipped with Bluetooth 4.1 technology, it comes with an FM Radio and the intercom offers a long range signal with a possibility to connect up to 4 different riders to each other. The audio quality is excellent at lower speeds of up to 50 mph. The Sena R10 Bluetooth device can be used for 10+ hours for one charge.
Sena also offers a mobile phone app, so you can easily connect the Cavalry helmet to your iPhone or Android smartphone and configure the device settings, make calls or listen to your favorite music, etc.

Cons: No drop-down sun visor, Comes only in black
ILM Bluetooth Integrated Modular Helmet Review
2nd place on our list belongs to the ILM Bluetooth helmet. This is a one of the very few flip-up modular motorcycle helmets that have a Bluetooth headset built directly into it. The helmet costs about $200 and it is a very good value for the money, if you consider its modularity and a Bluetooth device coming with it out of the box.
Shell Design & Protection
The ILM Bluetooth helmet is DOT and ECE certified and the materials used in the shell will provide a high impact resistance to protect your head from a potential injury. Being a flip-up helmet, the ILM Bluetooth helmet’s chin bar can be opened by simply pushing a single button located in the front of the chin bar. This means that you can use it as both a full-face and an open-face helmet. The IML Bluetooth helmet comes in a couple of different colors and it is available in multiple shell sizes (S-XL). It features a stealthy design an a matte finish on the black version. You can also get this helmet in a glossy finish with different colors. The weight of the helmet is 4.5 pounds, so it is on the weightier side.
Face Shield & Visor
The helmet is equipped with an optically correct face shield that provides very good vision. The face shield can be left partially open in multiple positions, which helps with the fogging issues that some motorcyclists can experience while having the face shield completely closed. The visor can be detached very easily thanks to the quick-release mechanism. Inside the helmet, you will find an integrated drop down sun visor that has a dark tint and it will protect your eyes from harmful UV rays.
Comfort & Airflow
As most other motorcycle helmets, the ILM Bluetooth Integrated Modular helmet has a removable interior liner that you can remove, wash, or replace whenever you need to. The chin strap of the helmet features an interlocking tooth mechanism that makes sure the helmet stays tight around your neck during a ride.
The ventilation system consists of a single chin vent in the front of the helmet and another intake air vent on the top. There are also some exhaust vents in the back. All of these vents provide a sufficient airflow and they will ensure that there will be enough fresh air pushed to your face. If this is not enough, you can always open the helmet and use it as a true 3/4 open-face helmet.
Bluetooth System
The ILM modular helmet is equipped with a communication device using Bluetooth 3.0 technology, which you will find in most of the budget-friendly Bluetooth helmets. The Bluetooth device comes mounted directly onto the helmet and there is no need for an installation. With this helmet, you will be able to make calls for up to 8 hours and its standby time is a whopping 110 hours (in sleep mode) so you won’t ever have to worry about charging your helmet on long rides! When communicating to another rider, there can be a distance of 1000 feet for the signal to work. The helmet can be connected to your smartphone for making calls or listening to music. You can easily answer incoming calls thanks to the One-Touch control.
The voice quality is excellent at very low speeds, and surprisingly good even at higher speeds. Others can hear you clearly at speeds of up to 60 mph. This has been achieved thanks to the DSP Echo Cancellation & Noise Suppression technology. The quality of the speakers is above average, they are very loud and the sound is super clear. There is almost no wind noise coming into the helmet with all air vents and chin bar closed.
Overall, the ILM helmet has a very good and user-friendly Bluetooth device that will let you make calls and listen to music for a very long periods of time without a charge.
ILM Stealth Bluetooth Helmet
️Pros: DOT & ECE certified, Integrated Bluetooth, 1000 feet range, Long standby time, Noise Suppression tech, Good value
Cons: A little too heavy, Fogging issues
Torc T14B Mako Bluetooth Helmet Review
Another helmet on our list of the top Bluetooth motorcycle helmets is the Torc T14B. It is a full-face helmet that suits best for street riding. The helmet looks awesome and costs only about $200, which is a tremendous value for a such a good looking full-face helmet with an integrated Bluetooth device.
Shell Design & Protection
The Torc T14B helmet has an aggressive looking design with an aerodynamic shape. The outer shell is made from a lightweight and durable Advanced polycarbonate material. Inside the shell, you will find a Dual density EPS, which is one of the most advanced EPS safety liner designs in the industry. It is both ECE and DOT certified and it has an intermediate oval shape. It comes in many different shell sizes ranging from XS to 2XL. The Torc T14B Bluetooth helmet is also available in many interesting colors and graphic designs. The one we are reviewing is called “Mako” and it features an American flag and a stealthy design. You can choose from either a gloss or a matte finish. The gloss finish is only available in plain black color though. The helmet weighs around 5 pounds, so it is definitely not the lightest full-face helmet out there. The Torc T14B Mako helmet comes with a low profile Bluetooth communication device mounted directly onto the shell.
Face Shield & Visor
The face shield of the Torc T14B Bluetooth helmet is optically correct and it features a fog-free technology with an anti-scratch coating. The helmet also comes with a smooth lock drop down sun visor system that is built into the helmet. The vision is outstanding and there is nothing blocking your sight.
Comfort & Airflow
The interior comfort liner of the Torc T14B Mako helmet is both removable and washable. The material used in the liner is comfortable enough, but it is not on the same level as the materials used in some of the more expensive helmets.
The airflow of the helmet if pretty good considering the fact that it is a budget helmet. The ventilation is provided by a single air vent in the front of the chin bar and another vent on the top of the helmet. Then there is a couple of exhaust vents on the sides and on the back of the helmet.
Blinc Bluetooth System
Now, the most important part of this helmet, the Bluetooth system. The Torc T14B Mako helmet comes with a Bluetooth device called “Blinc”. The unit is extremely flat and low profile that it can barely be noticed on the helmet. It is almost seamless with the side of the helmet. The device will provide about 4-6 hours of talk time and you will have about 12 hours of standby time. The range of the signal is only about 50 feet, which is not that great. This makes the device more useful for communicating with a passenger than with another rider.
Other than for communication purposes, the Torc T14B Bluetooth helmet with the Blinc intercom device can be simply used for listening to music from your smartphone.
The speakers are integrated directly to the internal padding of the helmet and the same goes with the microphone. All cables are hidden inside the padding, so nothing is sticking out.

Cons: A little too heavy, The range could be better
Sedici Viaggio Parlare Bluetooth Helmet Review
So, we have already shown you the best half-face, full-face and modular Bluetooth helmets. Another helmet on our list is an adventure helmet from a brand called Sedici. Whether you are an experienced adventure rider, or if you simply like to do some dual-sport riding from time to time, the Viaggio Parlare will definitely be a good choice for you. The helmet is a little bit more expensive then the previous two reviewed helmets, but you will get a ton of features with it. Let’s get a better look at this awesome adventure helmet with an integrated Bluetooth.
Shell Design & Protection
The design of the Sedici Viaggio Parlare adventure helmet is very similar to the designs you will find on most dual-sport ADV motorcycle helmets. It has an aggressive shape with a peak visor on the top and a long chin bar in the front. It is designed to give you performance both on and off-road. The helmet comes with a fully integrated Bluetooth communication system that is mounted to the side of the helmet. The Sedici Viaggio Parlare meets the DOT safety standards, it is available in multiple shell sizes ranging from XS to 2XL and the shape of the helmet is an intermediate long oval. The outer shell is made from Hi-tech injection molded ABS material. The helmet weighs around 3.5 pounds, which is an average weight of a dual-sport ADV helmet. Keep in mind that the Bluetooth device itself also adds some extra weight.
Face Shield & Visor
The Sedici Viaggio Parlare helmet comes with a clear quick release face-shield and an integrated drop down sun visor that is tinted and provides an UV protection. On top of that, the face shield also provides a great vision and the seal around the shield is excellent.
Comfort & Airflow
The most important attributes of adventure helmets are good comfort levels and proper ventilation. The Sedici Viaggio Parlare has a huge single vent in the front of the chin bar, which will ensure enough air will be pushed towards your face and the eye port area. The helmet also has a couple of intake vents on the top and some exhaust vent in the back. Unfortunately, the airflow is not that great when we compare this helmet to other helmets in this category and similar price range.
The interior comfort liner is fully removable and washable and it is made from a very soft material that is both durable and comfortable to the touch.
Sena DWO-5 Bluetooth System
The Bluetooth system used in the Sedici Viaggio Parlare helmet is called Sena DWO-5. It is one of the Sena’s lower tier headsets and it has Bluetooth 3.0 technology. The headset can be paired with up to 3 other Bluetooth headsets and the intercom range is 430 yards (400m). The system is fully integrated into the helmet out of the box. This means that the speakers and microphone are already installed inside the EPS liner and all you have to do is to turn the device on and pair it with your smartphone. With Sena DWO-5 Bluetooth device, you can make calls, listen to music, or even use it for GPS navigation instructions. The device offers up to 8 hours of talk time and 7 days of stand-by time.
The voice clarity of this device is outstanding and you will still be able to make a call at speeds over 60 mph. The speakers sound really good and there is not much wind noise coming into the helmet. This fact makes the Sedici Viaggio Parlare an excellent helmet for listening to music on long rides or trails.
Overall, the Sena DWO-5 is a pretty good Bluetooth intercom device and you won’t definitely be disappointed with it. If you want something that will work really well for those long adventure rides and has an integrated Bluetooth device, I would really recommend checking the Sedici Viaggio helmet out. Also, it is a great bang for the buck!
Sedici Viaggio Parlare Bluetooth Helmet
️Pros: Integrated Bluetooth, Long standby time, Built-in drop down sun visor, Very good value
Cons: Not enough airflow, Sizing issues
Sena Momentum Bluetooth Helmet Review
Another full-face helmet on our list comes from Sena and it is offered in multiple different variations. The Sena Momentum is the flagship helmet of this well known motorcycle Bluetooth brand and the versions are called Lite, Pro and Evo. Each of the versions has slightly different features and price tag. In this review, we will focus on the Sena Momentum standard version and compare it to others.
Shell Design & Protection
The Sena Momentum Bluetooth helmet has a very minimalist design and it comes in two colors, matte black and gloss white. The very first thing you will notice when taking a look at this helmet is a couple of buttons on the side of the helmet. The Bluetooth device on the Sena Momentum is not mounted, but instead, it is actually built directly into the helmet. The helmet has a long oval shape and therefore, if you have a completely round head, it might not fit you that well. It is available in multiple shell sizes ranging from XS to 2XL. The helmet is both DOT and ECE certified and the manufacturer has used a premium composite fiberglass in the shell of this helmet. Inside the shell, they have used a multi density EPS liner, which is the industry standard.
Face Shield & Visor
The helmet comes with a pin-lock ready face shield, but you will have to buy the pin-lock separately. The vision from the Sena Momentum helmet is very good and I really liked the tightness of the seal that the face-shield provides. What I didn’t really like is the fact that there are only two detents (fully closed and fully open). There is no city riding position, where you could leave the visor only slightly open. This is a basic feature that most full-face helmets have nowadays, but you won’t find it here.
Comfort & Airflow
The interior liner used in the Sena Momentum helmet is fully removable and washable, so you will be able to remove it whenever you need to. It also has moisture wicking and antibacterial properties, so any kinds of moisture or sweat will dry out very quickly. The helmet includes a breath guard and chin curtain. The chin strap of the helmet is equipped with a classic double D-ring closure.
The ventilation of the Sena Momentum Bluetooth helmet is provided by two intake vents. There is also a big exhaust port in the back of the helmet. Unfortunately, the airflow is not that great and it is definitely not what I would expect. If you usually ride in a warmer weather, you will definitely have to leave all vents open.
Sena 20K Bluetooth System
The Sena Momentum comes with the 20K device that uses Bluetooth 4.1 technology and it is one of the Sena’s all times best-selling Bluetooth devices. The higher tier versions come with the 30K system. As mentioned earlier, the device is fully integrated into the helmet and preinstalled, so there is nothing hanging from the helmet. On top of that, you can enjoy a much longer battery life. You will get up to 27 hours of standby time and 20 hours of talk time, which is simply amazing. The working distance of the intercom signal is around 1 mile (1600 meters) and it supports connection between up to 8 riders, this is also excellent. The device also supports voice control and you will be able to easily pair it with your smartphone or listen to the radio. Charging takes approximately 2,5 hours.
The helmet comes with a noise cancelling feature called INC, but it is only available in the more expensive versions (INC Pro, INC Evo). Even without the INC feature, the helmet is extremely quiet. There is absolutely no wind noise coming into the helmet and the speakers are loud with a crisp sound. The microphone of the Sena Momentum helmet is also top notch and others will be able to hear your voice even at very high speeds.
Overall, Sena Momentum is a very good Bluetooth helmet. It is a pity that it doesn’t have better airflow and face shield mechanism. Hopefully, Sena will learn from these mistakes to make even better helmets in the future.
Sena Momentum Bluetooth Helmet
️Pros: DOT & ECE certified, Integrated Bluetooth, Very long talk & standby time, Very long range, Completely quiet
Cons: Not enough airflow, Face shield has no detents
Things to Consider Before Buying a Bluetooth Helmet
Price & Value for the Money
You might be wondering, why I am putting price on the first place. Well, there are so many non-Bluetooth motorcycle helmets and Bluetooth systems available on the market that the price is the most important factor when choosing a Bluetooth helmet. Because, if you are going to buy a regular motorcycle helmet and a separate Bluetooth device, you will be paying a lot of money for both products. That’s why Bluetooth helmets actually exist, to safe you some money if your budget is tight. You will be able to save up to $200 in some cases. That is awesome, isn’t it?
Safety Rating & Protection
Safety and protection are very important factors when buying any kind of a motorcycle helmet. If the helmet is not safe enough for your riding style and conditions, then you shouldn’t buy it. Don’t choose an-open face helmet if you are going to use it in off-road conditions. Fortunately, all helmets on our list offer very high levels of protection and some of them even have multiple types of safety ratings and certifications.
Shape & Size of the Helmet
The helmet must simply fit you. If your head shape is very round and the helmet has a long oval shape (or vice versa), it will never be a perfect fit for you. It doesn’t matter how many features the helmet offers, or how much money you will save. If it doesn’t fit you well enough and you feel some pressure on your head, you should definitely return it. As you will spend hundreds of hours in the helmet, comfort should never be underestimated.
Features of the Helmet
Nowadays, motorcycle helmets come in many different styles and offer all kinds of interesting features. Bluetooth helmets are no exception. That’s why you can even find some modular helmets with an integrated Bluetooth device. Also, if you are looking for some very special features such as a drop-down sun visor or a quick-release face shield, most of the Bluetooth helmets also have them.
Features of the Bluetooth Device
If you are looking for a Bluetooth motorcycle helmet, you are logically interested in the Bluetooth device as well. You should definitely do a proper research about the device, before you decide to purchase the helmet. But don’t worry, we are here to help you with your decision!
1. Quality of the Sound
This is, in my opinion, the most important attribute of a Bluetooth communication system. Why would you even want to use one, if nobody could ever hear you well, right? That’s why every good Bluetooth helmet should have a high-quality communication system installed. The microphone should record your voice properly and there should be no cracking sound coming out on the other side. Also, the speakers should be of a decent quality. You don’t want to listen to your favorite music without being able to hear most of its tones and the little details. That’s why the speakers should be loud enough and the sound should be clear.
2. Accessibility & Ease of Use
If you are considering buying a Bluetooth helmet, you are probably looking for something that is simple, easy to use and doesn’t require too much tech knowledge, right? The buttons of the device should be easily accessible and the controls should be intuitive. You wouldn’t want a system whose controls you would have to learn every time you take your bike out for a ride. A lot of function doesn’t always mean it is a better product. Sometimes the Bluetooth system looks very good on paper, but once you start using it, you will actually find that it might not be the right choice for you.
3. Talk Time & Standby Time
Another important thing to consider while choosing a Bluetooth helmet is to pick the one that has enough talk time and standby time. You will then be able to use the device on long full-day or even multi-day rides. Most of the helmets on our list will provide sufficient amounts time for your calls and for listening to your favorite music. These helmets have very good battery life and they will give you around 10-20 hours of talk time and up to a week of standby time.
4. Range of the Intercom Signal
The range of the signal can also be a very important attribute, especially if you are planning to use the device for group riding and want to communicate with other riders. Some of the lower tier devices are only meant for communicating with your passenger, while others can work in distances of up to 1 mile (1600 meters). Also, each device can be connected to a different number of additional devices. There are some Bluetooth devices that can only connect 2 riders, and then there are others that can make a connection between up to 8 or more riders.
5. Warranty & Customer Service
With modern technology, there is always a small chance you will get a problematic unit that can stop functioning properly after some time. That’s why it is always a good idea to select a product that is manufactured by a well known company in its particular industry. I think that it is worth spending a few extra bucks for brand that comes with a warranty and offers a good customer service. You will have a peace of mind and in the long term, you can actually save some money.
Popular Bluetooth Motorcycle Helmet Brands
Sena (Sena Technologies Inc.)
Sena is considered the pioneering brand in the motorcycle Bluetooth industry. Since 1998, Sena has been a manufacturer of many different kinds of motorcycle Bluetooth headsets that can be used for almost any type of helmets imaginable. The brand has a very good reputation among bikers and the only slight downside about Sena products is their higher price tag. In 2017, Sena released their very first Bluetooth motorcycle helmet, the Sena Cavalry.
Torc (H&H Sports Protection Inc.)
Torc is a motorcycle helmet manufacturer that has been around since 2008. It is a relatively unknown brand when compared to the market leaders, but with their lineup of Bluetooth helmets, it has definitely a lot of potential. If you are looking for a high quality motorcycle helmet with an integrated Bluetooth device, then Torc definitely has some great budget-friendly options to offer.
ILM (I Love Motor)

Conclusion
Choosing the right Bluetooth motorcycle helmet is not an easy task and any type of info can be helpful. As you are basically buying 2 products at once, you shouldn’t rush your decision. I would recommend to think about your priorities and make the final decision based on your riding style and current financial situation. If you are going to use the Bluetooth device on your helmet very often, then you should probably invest into something that has a long battery life and very good audio quality. I really hope that this 2024 review article will help you with your decision and you will be happy with your new Bluetooth motorcycle helmet, if you decide to buy one.
